Trad-Data: Translation and Market. The Circulation of Books (Spain-Latin America, 1900-1945) and Big Data

This project was funded by a 2017 BBVA Foundation Leonardo Grant for Young Scholars and Cultural Creatives.

This project aimed to study the circulation of translated books and their market in the Spanish and Hispanic-American area between 1900 and 1945.

The project used material evidence from thousands of titles published from and into Spanish, as well as from translations scattered across the most important cultural and literary magazines of the time, to analyse book-market dynamics in Spain and Latin America over the first half of the twentieth century.
