Open Call for Papers to participate in the international conference Rethinking Film and Cinema History through Global and Digital Approaches (early 20th century-1970s), organized by Diana Roig-Sanz, Ainamar Clariana and Pablo Suárez-Mansilla, researchers of the ERC StG project “Social Networks of the Past. Mapping Hispanic and Lusophone Literary Modernity, 1898-1959” of the Global Literary Studies Research Lab (GlobaLS), and Malte Hagener, researcher from the Marburg Center for Digital Culture and Infrastructure at Philipps-Universität Marburg (Germany).
The aim of this conference is to discuss, from a gender, ethical, interdisciplinary and digital perspective, the concerns that the new generation of film historians have in relation to the global dynamics that challenge Eurocentric and Western discourses and that promote plural and heterogeneous globalities.
