Marina Alonso de Caso

Marina Alonso de Caso is a PhD candidate at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. As part of the Global Literary Studies Research Lab, she is currently working under the supervision of Diana Roig-Sanz on a doctoral thesis that explores literary agents from a socio-historical and gender perspective, with a particular focus on hidden mediation processes within the literary field. Prior to this, she completed a master’s degree in Linguistic and Literary Competence at the Universitat de les Illes Balears. She also pursued studies in Sociology and Comparative Literature at institutions such as Sorbonne University, Université libre de Bruxelles, Paris Descartes University, and Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Her interest in the world of books is closely tied to her professional experience as an editor and literary agent prior to starting her academic research, during which she worked with publishing houses such as Éditions Gallimard. She is currently working as a Senior Research Technician at the Universitat de les Illes Balears, where she is part of the Edicions UIB Lab.
