Juana Inés Casas

Juana Inés Casas is a journalist and editor with an interest in Literature, Cultural Phenomena and Latin America. Her PhD research is focused on the city and women’s writing in the Southern Cone (Argentina, Chile and Uruguay) in the 21st century. She holds a degree in Social Communication (UBA) and a Master in Humanities (UOC). She published the books of short stories Segundo idioma (Montacerdos, 2023), which won the Best Literary Works Award of the Ministry of Cultures of Chile in 2024, and El tiempo de los peces (Ediciones de la Lumbre, 2011, 2025). He has participated in anthologies such as Avisa cuando llegues (Bifurcaciones, 2019) and Vivir allá (Ventana Abierta Editores, 2017). She won the creation grant of the Fondo del Libro y la Lectura de Chile in its 2020 and 2025 editions.
