Lucía Campanella

Lucía Campanella started as a teacher of Literature in Secondary Education and continued her studies in Letters at the University of the Republic, Uruguay.

She did her doctorate in co-tutelage between France and Italy, within the framework of an Erasmus Mundus scholarship. She specialized in Comparative Literature, particularly in the France – Río de la Plata relationship.

On her return to Uruguay, Campanella worked at the Universidad de la República in the areas of French Language and Literature, with anarchist press and translators’ archives to investigate different facets of literary translation in Uruguay. She member of the group “History of Translation in Uruguay”, which carries out the R&I CSIC (Udelar) project “150 years of literary translation in Uruguay”.

Currently, Campanella holds a Marie Skłodowska-Curie research fellow with the project “The Anarchist Translation Flows and World Literature Project” (ARGOT).
