Betül Hazal

Betül Hazal Dinçer is a PhD candidate and working on her PhD thesis about the feminist translation field in Turkey in the department of Translation and Interpreting at Hacettepe University, Turkey.

She is a PhD scholarship holder by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey. She holds a degree of M.A. and B.A. from the same department at Hacettepe University, Turkey. She is currently working in the International Relations Office in Cankiri Karatekin University, Turkey and previously worked as a Research Assistant at the department of Translation and Interpreting at Baskent University, Turkey.

Her main interests of research are gender and translation; sociological approaches in translation; and translation pedagogy and assessment due to her work experience in the National Examination Board of Turkey.

In February 2023 she was visiting scholars at GlobaLS, with the Erasmus+ program.
