Aitana Bellido Íscar

Aitana Bellido Íscar holds a degree in Law and in Translation and Interpreting from University of Salamanca and University of Barcelona, and a master’s degree in Publishing from the Pompeu Fabra University.

She has worked as a digital editor and as an intern at Anagrama publishing house, where she has seen up close how the book industry works at a national and international level. She has also worked at an intellectual and industrial property law firm and carried out assignments as a translator and editor.

Aitana is also interested in the linguistic and cultural construction of the identity, especially in multilingual writers, such as Jhumpa Lahiri or Nancy Huston, both objects of her degree’s final project in Translation and Interpreting.

Her main academic focus is the intersection between linguistics, literature, identity and gender. Participating at the project The Novel as Global Form. Poetic Challenges and Cross-Border Literary Circulation she hopes to deepen into her passions: literature, publishing and literary translation.
