Ocean +: Sea Crime in Contemporary Literature and Film / Océanos +: Crímenes en el Mar en la Literatura y el Cine Contemporáneos

This project is funded by the “Europe Research Dynamization Actions 2019”, a state R&D program for societal challenges run by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (Reference: EIN2019-103407).

This project aims to improve our proposal for an ERC Consolidator Grant project. The ERC proposal “Ocean Crime: Environmental and Human Traffic Crime in Contemporary Narratives and Film (1980-present)” aims to study sea-related imaginaries and the difficulties in regulating narratives that deal with environmental crimes and human trafficking. The project works at the crossroads of literary and film studies, critical geography, ecocrisis, and public international law.

The grant will be used to improve gender perspectives, organize meetings with experts, and attend a course on proposal improvement at the Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe programs.
