Ana Teresa Rodríguez de Riera

Graduated in Literature from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB), Caracas, Venezuela, she worked for 17 years as an associate professor at the Schools of Literature, Education and Philosophy in the subjects of Literary Research Methodology, Creative Writing, Edition and North American Literature.

She has the Master’s in Humanities: Literature, Contemporary Art and Culture from the UOC (2021).

Ana Teresa has papers and academic publications on commemorative sculpture from the 20th century in America and Contemporary North American Literature. She has also published individual short stories.

She is currently a doctoral student at UOC and her thesis project aims to reconstruct a cultural map of the city of Caracas from the exile narrative produced in the second decade of the 21st century. Her study intends to map the literary and cultural phenomenon occurred by the years of intense student political protest in Venezuela.
